Update: Part 2
I forgot to mention in the previous blog that I will be playing a "who" in the Baldwin City Community Theatre's production of "Seussical the Musical" This June. I have yet to attend a rehearsal, but from what I saw at the call-backs it will be a great show!! I will update you guys on how the rehearsals go once they start!
Update (I couldn't really think of a better title...oh well :] )
Well, the spring play "You Can't Take it With You" Turned out great!! I felt so lucky to actually have been cast in the spring play this year, since I was not cast last year. Even though plays lack my favorite aspect of performing, which is singing, I had a great time. I got to work on my acting skills and put them to the test in my first principal role! Not to mention my "Legit" backstage video which you can find on my facebook page if you haven't seen it already :).
In other news, construction for the new performing arts center is now officialy in progress. It will be kind of annoying havaing to deal with the closing off of the area between the Junior High and the HS, but it will be well worth it once it is finished! I cannot wait to see it!
Also, I will be performing at my schools talent show "Starstruck" on may 8th. I will be singing "The new girl in town" from Hairspray and dancing to it with my 2 besties Bethany and Tamara! I will also be singing "Don't rain on my parade" from Funny Girl. It is quite a challenge and I hope I will be able to do it justice, but hey, everone should step out of their comfort zone every now and again :)
And finally, last saturday night I went to prom! I had soooo much fun and took some awesome pics for the yearbook! It was definitely a night I'll always remember. My feet will probably remember it for a while as well, since I was an airhead and kept my heels on the whole night! hahahaha :)

Excitement!
So there are quite a lot of exciting things going on right now for me :)
Number 1: About a week and a half ago, I attended (and got to take part in) the groundbreaking ceremony for the new performing arts center that is being built at my school. I find this very exciting because it will be finished spring of next year which means I will get to do all my senior performances there!! I cannot wait to see the finished product!
Number 2: My High School's spring play, "You Can't Take it With You" is opening in just under a week and it is coming along very nicely :). For those of you who don't know, I will be playing Rheba (the maid) and am having a lot of fun with the role :) I am super excited to see what everyone thinks of it!
Number 3: Yesterday, I had my primary audition for my community theatre's summer production of "Seussical the Musical" and callbacks are tommorow! There are a bunch of new faces this year both in the creative team and the potential cast. I am extremely pumped about this show and am looking forward to being back at the theatre again after not being able to perform last summer because of various schedule conflicts. I don't know what role I will get yet, but no matter what it is I will have a blast because in my opinion, this show really doesn't have any bad parts in it :)
I am so excited about all of these events and will have a lot to blog about in the next few months because of them :) so hopefully, It won't be long before I have another blog to post lol. Well, that's all for now. TTFN :)
