Another blog that is well overdue

So, I haven't blogged in a while. There hasn't really been a lot happening lately. Rehearsals for Lil' Abner are going along great. I have a small but entertaining role, and I am happy to announce that I now have 2 vocal solos!! I'm so excited for opening night, which is November 20th and I hope to see everyone there! Football season has ended, which kinda sucks because we didn't make it further but is also a relief because I don't have to cheer at football games anymore. I'm starting to get really pumped for Christmas!!(even though its like, a month and a half away). I am going to my aunt and uncles house this year and its gonna be an absolute blasty-blast! Long time, no blog

So, school started over a month ago and is now in full swing! Even though its been hard getting back into the swing of things, I love all my classes and am having fun with friends and extracurricular activities. Rehearsals start soon for the fall musical, Lil Abner. I will be playing the part of Moonbean Mcswine. I have no idea who that is, but I'm excited to find out(even if it is an extremely unusual name)! Cheer leading has been a blast! I love cheering at the games and learning our competition routine. On Saturday, I will be passing on the title of Miss Maple Leaf's Outstanding Teen. I am so grateful to have won this title, even if it is just a local one, and to have had the chance to compete at state. I will hopefully be competing at state again this year and look forward to competing with the new Miss Maple Leaf's Outstanding Teen :). I have 9 days of summer left before school officially starts. There is one more thing to do before summer is over ( other than my book report, ugh ) and that is go on a canoeing/ camping trip!! my family and I are going along with my friend bethany. (btw-im sorry nicole that i couldn't invite you. I wanted to invite you both but I found out I could only invite one and i heard from bethany first :( ) so ya, thats pretty much all thats going on right now. ttfn :)

wow! only one week of juy left :)? :(?

Oh my! This summer has come and gone so fast! Its hard to believe that in a few weeks I'll be getting ready to go back to school. I can't complain though, because i have had a WONDERFUL summer! I competed in a pageant, got myself whipped into shape with cheerleading, went to disney world for the first time (!), got my learners permit, and got to hang with friends every now and again. The last 3 1/2 weeks of the summer will be spent doing more cheerleading stuff, getting my book report for honors english done, continuing to work out, and hopefully more hanging out with friends. I can already tell that this school year will be a great, but extremely busy one. With homework, cheerleading, and the fall musical I'm gonna be swamped most of the first semester. Not to mention cheer, homework, the spring play, and chior contest time in the 2nd semester. I know it may not seem like much, but they all require quite a bit of commitment. I will be very proud of myself if I can pull it off while keeping my grades up.

In other news, I got my first pedicure yesterday! I needed it soooo bad. I got my toenails painted pink with green and white polka dots! It looks really cool. I also went to spin pizza and got to catch up with Lori, a family friend. It was a great day. Well I better go now and get some work done on my book report before i work out. Thats all for now :)

Back from Disney World!!

I got back a few days ago from my familys vacation to disney world! it was by far the best vacation ive been on so far. The only downside was the 2-day drive to and from Florida. We got there on saturday the 4th and immediately went to the park before even checking in to the hotel. That day was spent at the magic kingdom which was super fun! we got autograph books and went on the carousel,dumbo,the magic carpets, winnie the pooh, and its a small world. That night we saw their 4th of july fireworks display which was incredible!! they have fireworks every night but i was glad i got to be there on the 4th. The next day was spent at the animal kingdom. We rode jungle safari, kali river rapids, Expedition everst (which was amazing!!!) and saw the animal exhibits. The next day we went to visit my great grandpa in Fort Meyers. He was pretty energetic for a 90-year-old. That day we also went to Fort Meyers beach which was fun except for the fact that i got sunburned really bad on my back. The day after that was spent at Epcot. we saw a lot of finding nemo stuff, went to this imagination thing (i forget what its called but it was pretty cool) and we walked around the world showcase which was really cool because they had lots of cool stuff from all of the major countries in the world. That night we watch the laser and fireworks show there which was also very cool. The next day, the first half was spent at Typhoon lagoon and the 2nd half was spent at epcot again. The next day we went back to the magic kingdom and spent most of the day shopping for souveniers. I got a minnie mouse doll, a belle pen, a belle ring and a cinderella ring, as well as a tinker bell statue and keychain. That night for dinner we went to the Grand Floridian hotel to have dinner with Cinderella and her stepsisters as well as lady tromaine and Prince charming. It was really fun because even though you knew they werent real, they were still entertaining and had a lot of fun with their roles.Then we went and saw the fireworks again and the parade. The next day we went to Hollywood studios where we rode the Rockin' roller coaster(which was also amazing!!) and the tower of terror, saw the muppets, a stunt car show,Beauty and the Beast and did the american idol experince. After dinner we went to watch the fireworks and the parade for one last time before leaving. I had soooo much fun! Even though a lot of the stuff is meant for younger kids, I think that people of all ages can enjoy disney world simple because of how elaborate it is and how they have a way of making everything seem magical. Getting back in the game :)

So now that I have had some time off from my crazy summer life, I am getting back in the zone! I have a book report to do for english, Many things i need to work on for cheer, A room to clean out(who knows how long that will take lol), I need to get started with volunteering at the humane society, and I also need to get back on a regular schedule with my voice stuff which i have kind of been neglecting the past few months. I am leaving for Florida soon and once I get back I will have just over a month so I will be busy busy busy! Another thing that I am really excited for is going to see Legally Blonde the Musical on wednesday!!!!!! I was worried I wouldn't be able to but my dad said he wanted to take me and my sister :) I can't believe summer will be over in a month and a half! its kinda wierd because it feels like it just started a few weeks ago. Probably because ive been so busy. Well, thats all for now.

Time off....

Now that most of the main events of my summer are over, i finally have some time off! So far I spent the first 2 1/2 weeks of summer at cheer practices almost every day sometimes twice a day, went to MKOT, came back for more practices before leaving for cheer camp, and made/delivered tons among tons of burritos. Now I have a few weeks off before another main point of my summer which is(wait for it).....DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!! I am soooo excited because I have never been there(I know, its pathetic). I have always wanted to go and we decided to go for my little sisters 3rd birthday. I am really enjoying my summer even though i didn't get a chance to do a summer show :(. but I will for sure be in a show next summer and I will also be doing the fall musical at school!(btw, if youre reading this nicole, you better be doing it too lol) I know its a little early to be thinking about it, but i am actually really excited for the upcoming school year. I will be involved in a lot and I can tell that my classes will be a lot more fun than last years. Anyway, I haven't really done much since my last entry but i decided to write something because i haven't updated in a while. So bye for now :)

So many burritos!!!!!!

I just got back from making 530 dozen burritos for our cheerleading fund raiser. We were there from 4:00 until 8:45 making them. It was kind of nasty though because everything was cold. It felt sooooo good being able to sleep in until 10:30 this morning! Lastly, I want to give a shout-out to my bffffforever audra! She is so amazing and the first friend I made in baldwin! And shes the first one of my friends I know of to read this! Btw I will be delivering your burritos tomorrow lol. So ya, your awesome and we totally need to hang out this summer :)

First Blog :)

Hi guys!(if anyone is reading at all lol) This is my first entry and im excited to start blogging! I will try to update this as much as possible. So I just got back from cheer camp which was quite an experience. We had lots of fun but it was very stressful at times. My squad won 2nd place in our extreme routine and we got the banana!(for anyone who doesn't know its the main spirit award). Now that I am home I finally get the chance to catch up on sleep! At camp I was going to bed at midnight and waking up at 6 every morning :(. The rest of my summer will be pretty uneventful except for hopefully taking a vacation. One other recent event in my life was competing in the Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen 2009 pageant. I have been preparing since October when I was crowned Miss Maple Leaf Teen. I want to thank all of my family and friends for all their support! I would not have been able to go if it werent for you all helping me raise money and giving me moral support. I have to say it was one of the best excperiences ever! Everyone was so nice and I was excited to meet MKOT '08 Alasyn Zimmerman and Miss Kansas '08 Emily Deaver along with the contestants for Miss Kansas '09. Also, I am so proud of Miss Maple Leaf Erica Mahan! I wasn't able to see her compete because of cheer practice :(, but I heard she did a fabulous Job and It has been a pleasure to get to know her and to be her teen! so last but not least, here are some pics :)
