I will pretty much be starting anew with it, so I probably won't be continuing much with what's on here. so if any of you on here have a tumblr or are planning on getting one, follow me :)

Hey guys :)

Seussical has been going great! People are really enjoying the show and we have some amazing talent on that stage! If you live in Baldwin and haven't seen it, come check it out! We have 3 more shows on thursday, friday, and saturday. I will be sad when it's over but it's been a lot of fun even though I honestly wasn't sure it would be at first.

I can't believe that July is getting close! This summer has been a lot of fun so far considering the fact I haven't done a whole lot besides seussical and celebrated my birthday. I have more plans for later in the summer though :). I will get to hang out with friends a lot and hopefully will be going to see Beauty and the Beast at Starlight in August! I am very excited :)

Well, thats about it for now. I promise that I won't wait a long time to post my next blog.

Summer!!!!!

Its been a while since I last blogged. I am now 16 years old! I can hardly believe it myself. My family threw an awesome surprise party for me :)

My community theatre's summer production of Seussical the Musical has been going along nicely, and we open in just about a week! Every cast member has something unique that they bring to the show and I enjoy watching everyone do their stuff on stage :) I think it will be very entertaining for people to watch and a great family show!

Also, Congrats to the new Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen, Leslie Carrillo! I know you will be a great titleholder! I was so sad that I couldn't compete for the title this year but I will hopefully be able to compete next year since its the last year I will be eligible. And another congrats to this years Maple Leaf Outstanding Teen, Shelby Corder!!! Im sure you did amazingly and I know you can win it if you keep trying :) Have a great remainder of your year!
I am so happy that Baldwin has the Miss Maple Leaf organization so that we can have some Baldwin girls competing at state! Its always exciting for me when I have someone come up and ask me how they can compete for the Miss Maple Leaf Outstanding Teen title. I think it's a great opportunity and you learn so much just by competing. and the thing that is great about the teen program is that you don't HAVE to win a local to go to state. Its been almost 2 years since I was crowned, but I will always be thankful to the organaization for giving me the opportunity to go to state. If it weren't for you guys, I would never have thought I could compete at a state pageant! but you gave me the tools I needed to get there. I can't wait for next years maple leaf pageant to see who wins! One of my best friends is hopefully competing so it should be exciting :)

Well thats all for now, but I will have more to blog about soon :)

There are now officialy 3 weeks left of school! I cannot wait to be done with my sophmore year and have an awesome summer! I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This has been an amazing school year and I think next year will be even better :)

I will also be starting rehearsals for Seussical tomorrow and I am very excited. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Also, Starstruck is next Saturday! I can't wait to perform and watch everyone else perform as well. It's gonna be a great show so if you live near Baldwin, you should come and see it. It's next saturday at 8 and admission is free so come check it out! My school has some amazing talent and we always have a great time performing for everyone :]

Update: Part 2

I forgot to mention in the previous blog that I will be playing a "who" in the Baldwin City Community Theatre's production of "Seussical the Musical" This June. I have yet to attend a rehearsal, but from what I saw at the call-backs it will be a great show!! I will update you guys on how the rehearsals go once they start!

Update (I couldn't really think of a better title...oh well :] )

Well, the spring play "You Can't Take it With You" Turned out great!! I felt so lucky to actually have been cast in the spring play this year, since I was not cast last year. Even though plays lack my favorite aspect of performing, which is singing, I had a great time. I got to work on my acting skills and put them to the test in my first principal role! Not to mention my "Legit" backstage video which you can find on my facebook page if you haven't seen it already :).

In other news, construction for the new performing arts center is now officialy in progress. It will be kind of annoying havaing to deal with the closing off of the area between the Junior High and the HS, but it will be well worth it once it is finished! I cannot wait to see it!

Also, I will be performing at my schools talent show "Starstruck" on may 8th. I will be singing "The new girl in town" from Hairspray and dancing to it with my 2 besties Bethany and Tamara! I will also be singing "Don't rain on my parade" from Funny Girl. It is quite a challenge and I hope I will be able to do it justice, but hey, everone should step out of their comfort zone every now and again :)

And finally, last saturday night I went to prom! I had soooo much fun and took some awesome pics for the yearbook! It was definitely a night I'll always remember. My feet will probably remember it for a while as well, since I was an airhead and kept my heels on the whole night! hahahaha :)

Excitement!

So there are quite a lot of exciting things going on right now for me :)

Number 1: About a week and a half ago, I attended (and got to take part in) the groundbreaking ceremony for the new performing arts center that is being built at my school. I find this very exciting because it will be finished spring of next year which means I will get to do all my senior performances there!! I cannot wait to see the finished product!

Number 2: My High School's spring play, "You Can't Take it With You" is opening in just under a week and it is coming along very nicely :). For those of you who don't know, I will be playing Rheba (the maid) and am having a lot of fun with the role :) I am super excited to see what everyone thinks of it!

Number 3: Yesterday, I had my primary audition for my community theatre's summer production of "Seussical the Musical" and callbacks are tommorow! There are a bunch of new faces this year both in the creative team and the potential cast. I am extremely pumped about this show and am looking forward to being back at the theatre again after not being able to perform last summer because of various schedule conflicts. I don't know what role I will get yet, but no matter what it is I will have a blast because in my opinion, this show really doesn't have any bad parts in it :)

I am so excited about all of these events and will have a lot to blog about in the next few months because of them :) so hopefully, It won't be long before I have another blog to post lol. Well, that's all for now. TTFN :)

The past 2 months

Ok, so i seriously need to stay on top of this thing, because I have not blogged in about 2 months. Anyways, in recent news I have landed a role in my school's spring play called "You Can't Take it With You" I will be playing Rheba, the maid for a crazy family. I am enjoying this role very much and am excited to see how the whole play turns out :). I am also entering a contest to win a trip to NY to audition for a broadway casting director!!!! I will post the link to my entry as soon as I put it up. I have also managed to maintain high grades this semester so far. I only have one B :) and I intend to keep it that way or possibly all As. Well, thats about it. I will try to blog again soon. This time it will be less than 2 months, I promise :)

Wow, I really need to start staying on top of this blog

Well, once again I haven't blogged in a long time. A lot has gone on since my last entry so I will do my best to include all of it. Cheer has been going along just fine. Basketball is once again in full swing which takes some getting used to. My winter break was fantastic except for the part that my family had to drive to oklahoma in a blizzard. But, it was well worth it since we got to spend time with our amazing family in OKC! We left on Christmas eve and because of the storm, our trip was 3 hours longer than usual. Chrismas was super fun! I got so many wonderful presents and had some pretty successful shopping sprees haha. I spent new years with my dad in lawrence which went pretty well. My step-grandma came in from Minnesota and we went and saw The Princess and the Frog which was an awesome movie! I can't wait to see it again :) and then I had a few lazy days before cheer practice started up again which was rough, but I got through it. I had two days of cheer practice before going to school on the 6th, which wasn't very productive since we had Thursday and Friday off on account of the weather. The next week of school was a full week which was a hard week for everyone at my school since we only had one day the week before. However, the week went by very well and so far I have straight As in all of my classes, which may not be particularly difficult considering its only been a week, but was a great way to start the semester :) I am also very happy that the snow is finally beginning to melt! only a few more months to go before its 60 and 70 degree weather every day!!!!
